    The best summer tire in your size is probably the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec ($98 at TireRack). If you want something cheaper and a bit less aggressive, try the Yokohama S.drive ($87 at TireRack).

    If you're willing/able to go with 215/45-R16, then you have a couple of interesting options. The Kumho Ecsta XS ($98 at TireRack) is supposed to be the best performing genuine (i.e., non-R-compound) street tire on the market today. There's also the Falken Azenis RT-615 ($99 at Vulcan Tire), but I don't think it's as good of an all-around tire.

    If it were me, I'd pick up the Ecsta XS in 215/45 and call it a day.

      I don't think Michelin Pilot Sports are available in 205/50R16. Also, they are not a good deal. They don't do anything excessively well except to drain your wallet very efficiently.
