You were implying he should give the motor to someone else, which I assume you meant by him crashing it in the snow.

I suggested he swap it into his own e30.

      Nice try.

No... I think it'd be a negative for resale. Unless you leased it and therefore don't give a shit then go for it.

Last I thought, he was a watch thief who got paid to tell the victim the time. Highly lucrative. ;)

or maybe he just doesn't have a house and instead sleeps in his cars?

Why the hell not? It's an appliance, just like any other car.

ok to answer question... the 135 is still going to be winter driven but maybe not by me this year. My SUV I had was totaled which is what set of the shuffle and what kinda had me buy the M3... it seemed like a great idea to get rid of the gas guzzler until the whole snow thing factored in.

I own the M3 so future resale is a consideration. Snow tires for 19" rims are like $1200 so that kinda sucks. Any one know of a late, mechanically sound, e30 325ix in new england? I would probably take that right now. but I am kind of leaning towards just driving it.

as for v8 swaps... I am already doing one of those. But its TOP SECRET.

Why do you have to buy a BMW for the winter? Just buy a cheap $1000 car and rock that for the winter.

Why is this so difficult. Craigslist is your friend.8)

It never hurts to have an old Subaru around, stay away from the 2.5l engine unless you want to replace the head gaskets, legacy 2.2l 5 speed cars make great winter beaters without worrying about trashing or crashing it ;) then again if you want to have some fun use the 2.5 block and early 2.2 heads for a high compression wonder.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.
