So it seems like on the Indianapolis news lately, there has been 2 or 3 of these type of cases in the past 2 months or so. All on the local news channel. The link for one of them is posted below. Sitting at home watching the news at noon and they are gonna talk about ANOTHER one of these that happened this morning. Apparently a toddler was found in her pajamas this morning wandering around the street a block away from her house. It was 25-30 degrees this morning and rained/snowed here yesterday. Are people fucking stupid?!?!?!?! How can people be parents and let things like this happen to their own children??? Anyone have stuff like this happen around them?

It's not at hard as you think for that to happen. Little kids are fucking NINJAS. We can be sitting watching cartoons, and I can turn my back on my daughter for 30 seconds while I grab a soda from the fridge, and she could be out the front door and up on the roof. It's amazing how quickly they can just disappear. Granted, it sounds like some dumbshit left the front door open or something, but it's really not hard for kids to just take off and be lost in no time flat.

Pardon me for putting this in the wrong forum. If this needs moved, go ahead and move it. And its one thing for kids to run around while youre watching tv, but these people leave their kids at home and go somewhere else. My best friend has a child who is around 10 months old and she runs around pretty quick too Josh haha. But a kid 1-2 years old shouldnt be able to get outside and run down the street when its 25 degrees outside.RIP e30 (brilliantrot '91 325i) 11/17/06 Byebye: 8/21/07

Like Josh said, it happened to my sister. She was about 2 and I was 4. I unlocked the porch door and persuaded her outside onto the fresh snow of the patio. I was soon found giggling to myself and her not so happy crawling and cold.
Another time, I let the dog out of the gate and then apparently encouraged my sister to chase it. The neighbor called my dad to inform him both were running in the front yard.
But we were never left alone, we just got into trouble and the neighbors called to let dad know he should have paid more attention.
