Just got me a new toy...

With all the bodywork I am doing on my E28, I am trying to roll/widen the fenders. I decided that I have rolled far too many fenders in my day without the proper tool.
So, naturally, I made a decision to invest in this bad-boy.
If anyone needs fenders rolled and you are in the Santa Barbara Area for any reason, let me know and I can do it for you for a small fee. I have lots of people wanting to use this thing locally already so I will probably rent it out a lot. I will not ship it out as thats a great way to never get things back or to get them back broken/damaged.

Anyhow, just thought I would share my new investment...

Neat tool. How much can you roll of an average E30 fender? Just saw the price, less then I thought $225 a good buy.

quite a bit, but more if you plan to repaint your car as you can stretch them out and not worry about paint damage (as I am doing to my E28).

Ive always wonered what the tool loooked like. My eta's rims require extreme care when having the wheel turned even the slightest bit whilst hitting anything that will make my suspension travel, they want to pull the fender out. It already has, minimally. Non-informative post on my part, but fuck it, lol.

Great tool, used a similar one my cars.

Ryan- make sure you pick up a heat gun if you don't have one already. Unless you heat up the paint really good, it'll crack (i'm talking about almost too hot to touch.. but not burn the paint off the car ;))

They are on sale right now for about $245 shipped.
I have a heat-gun for my splitters and I use it when rolling fenders aswell...
I am going to just roll the shit out of my E28 fenders as I am doing the body/paintwork right now anyhow so a crack in the paint is the least of my concerns, its just good timing right now.

I used this tool on my car. A few mins with a heat gun or a blower to warm up the edge and then this tool

                        works great.
