2jz is fine and all. so is 500-600 whp.

good luck getting it to hook up though. unless you want to do a IRS swap too. look up benders thread. and look at all the work he had to do just to be able to keep traction.

anything over 400 it seems is too much for the rear trailing arm set up to with stand.

get an m52, out of an e36 328. get a six speed from an e46 m3. call up the racers market (forum sponsor and great turbo kit builder from what i hear) and get a turbo kit for the motor.

300-400 easily out of that motor on stock internals and will be reliable.

just tryin to help you enjoy your e30 experience more! :D

          E30 is IRS already.
          Rear trailing arms hold power
2JZ's can make 600+hp on stock internals and 450hp on stock turbos.

2JZ is a wicked swap if you have a line on an engine. IMO I would rather have a 2JZ then a boosted M52 or S52 in terms of cost and reliability, even if it upsets the BMW God's.

The R154 tranny (N/A 5spd) should hold close to 500hp in an E30, and it fits in the tunnel with the shifter semi lined up (need to make the hole a bit bigger)

Do it! It would haul some ass and sound absolutly disgusting!

Why not an LS1 swap then?
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

ive seen e34 m5's in LA on craigslist go from 7-12k.

Better off just turboing a m50/s50 or better yet build a m20 and turbo it.
