    Please give me your opinion.

I currently have an '87 325ic 5 speed. I personally never bring the top down so I find it pointless to even have a cabrio. I found an '89 325i coupe 5 speed with 160k miles for $2600. Do you think I should sell mine to get the hardtop? what do you think an average cabrio is worth?

And out of curiosity. I may sound stupid but its for my own good so Im going to ask anyways. Is it true that the cabrio weighs a lot more than the coupe/4 door e30's? If so then about how much?

if you rarely rock it top down then sell it for a coupe

not sure on the weight difference but it is enough to justify springs made for cabrios

(copy and pasted from the listing). Car runs nice. Clean interior. Clean seats and panels. No cracks on dash .Timing belt replaced. New hoses. Have lots of parts that go with car. Good SI board. CD radio. A/c system good, but need freon. Body straight but needs paint. Car sold as is.

like you said, florida car (in the picture the clear coat is chipping). but it doesnt say anything about rust or anything. I dont see any either.

what do you think? should I go for it?

yeah thats what I figured. What should be the asking price on mine? it has a brand new top, new main bearings, rims with fresh tires...

Buy a hard top for the vert - best of both worlds.

As long as the coupe is rust free $2600 sounds like a decent price. If your cab is in decent condition I'd say you can probably get $2000 for it.

I have both, coupe and a vert...and its great. Only problem is my pile of cars. Judging from your tiny sig, it looks like you got a nice car so I would say hardtop for the vert. As for me, the driving experience of the coupe is far superior than the vert.

Ive seen prices for all typs of e30 ranging from deals to "good luck" pricing. I have no idea what I would sell my vert for if I ever did. Anymore pix?

Do what you want. Does your IC have lower miles than the IS? I'd almost consider holding onto the IC for one more summer and getting rid of it at the end of the summer. My .02

yeah its really up to you man.... no matter what i always want a coupe in my stable. But an e30 vert serves a diff purpose in my book. I'd like both, and maybe a vert would be my next project...
