It's about that time to buy new tires for my recently purchased IS. Normally, I would purchase from a placel ike the tirerack as I always had great experiencing finding tires for my other cars. However, I've been looking online and what I notice is the selection of tires for the 14" basketweaves are quite limited. Can anyone recommend a site with a wide selection for

You can run 185 or 205 on the weaves. I think the two sites you already have are probably the best but tires in 14" sizes are getting difficult try looking for 13's.

moving to 205s makes a huge difference, many more to choose from

my goal is to preserve the car to close to stock as possible for various reasons (price, mpg, speedometer reading, personal preference, etc..)

do you guys think if I were to go to a tire store in person, it would be easier to find a desired tire my size?

I've always done my shopping online to avoid the bs of tire shops but if it is the only way to get the tire I want, I'm willing to make an exception

Also how accurate is your speedo right now? Does it consistently read 5mph over what you are actually doing?

If you go down to 195/60/r14 you have some decent choices.

i picked up a set of bridgestone potenza RE-01 R tyres (205/55/16) with about 85% tread left for $100 and my friend mounted them for free ! can't beat that!

the guy i bought them from figured out that they were no so great in the snow in flagstaff...duh
