    Audi S4/RS4 and forums

I'm looking at selling my '03 540 M-Sport and my Jeep and getting a vehicle that's all-wheel-drive (3 cars is just too much for a single guy). I really like the Audis and I dig the '06-'09 S4 and RS4. The RS4 just sounds amazing but the S4 might be more practical.

Are there any good Audi forums out there that would have some good info about these cars? Any good tips or issues to watch for on these cars, or anything? I'm new to the Audi world...school me. :)

    Thanks!

...as a side note, the 540 is going up for sale shortly and it's in spectacular shape. I'll post it in the FS forum probably in January.

      I would love to have a late model 4.2l V8 powered RS4

Matter of fact I have considered selling my truck to fund such a purchase, but I cant do that.

audizine is all you will need to know :D and maybe fourtitude. But az is by far the best forum out there. Don't waste your time on audiworld/etcetera.

Eh, steer clear of the 'tex, usually a bunch of idiots. Fourtitude and Audiworld are also good sources. Best of luck, that B7 RS4 is a hot batch of Ingolstadt.

I was seriously looking at the RS4 last summer. Its a sweet can and pretty practical for a car with that much power. I really liked it but went with the M instead

I cannot recommend the 4.2l... half the people I know that have them have had the timing chain tensioner blocks wear thin. They're crap synthetic isht and last only about 50K leaving the owner with a $5000-8000 repair bill to replace them. I wouldn't buy one in an S4, A8, Touareg, nothing. I won't own a daily driver with a motor I have to rebuild after 50K. Now a race car... ;)
