    Stripped Oil pump nut (M30)

Have been running the M30 swap for a few months now with no problems, decided to go back and check on the
oil pump nut today and make sure it is still on tight. Go to take it off and it just spins on the shaft! checked to
make sure and the shaft is not turning with the nut. Any idea on how to get the nut off? Tried pulling the
entire pump but the timing chain is too tight for that. Any suggestions would help, need this fixed tomorrow.

    Thanks in Advance.

Also thinking of just welding the nut to the shaft, so it will have no chance of coming off. Opinions? I'm sure everyone has one.

Just grind the nut off to remove it.

I'd recommend to change the oil pump and sprocket. Get a new one and use Loctite on the nut.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

M50 guys usually drill a hole through the nut and thread some wire through it to fix it to the gear behind it. locktite too?

            Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

no way to get a grinder into the small space, the M30 is pretty tight to the radiator and I had to drop the sub frame to access it. Going to weld today and see how it goes.

No room to drill either, I'm positive the hole would be misaligned.
