Yes, thats how megasquirt works usually. Once you have it running you can worry about idle control valve.

I'd modify the bracket that holds the stock part to relocate it down, you'll have to rotate the lever downwards as well. As log as the actuating rod stays the same length it should work fine.

I definitley agree I should have prepared better. However, there were loads of unexpected loops that just threw me out of path, making my head spin.

I had planned to run it on CIS previously, and when that hit the fan, I just said fuckit, and started from scratch, which is why it has sorn of a thrown together sort of appeal to it. Otherwise I was following some blogs, and most people said that they had no problem fitting the turbo in there. I assumed it would fit fine. and being on a limited budget, with limited time, and no welder, I coudlnt just make a dump pipe for an external wastegate (which I bought Incase I needed to use it.)

          - I have planned this really well, just everything didnt work as planned, thus throwing me for a loop. I had all the parts I needed already bought, and it was ready to hit the road a while ago, just when the little things went wrong, (bad alternator, cracked radiator, wastegate not fitting.) I was kinda swamped to think straight given the time constraint. (I have roughly8 hours a month to work on it)

I have been making lists, and checking them off accordingly to try and get it all sorted out.

Not to mention like 1/3 of my tools are missing, and that holds me up badly.

so in the end im just sort of fucking myself over with attempts to just get it drivable so I can take it here to Davis where I can really Spend some seriosu time fixing it up in a garage with light, etc.... not to mention take it to the shop I work with and have my boss pick apart everything I need to do correctly to get me back on track.

Im treating this as a learning experience, and once I get it running with a baseline tune, and I can drive it a bit more. Im taking it all apart, and cleaning it all up.

              It's not too bad actually
the only wires present are hte megasquirt ones, and they have to be heat shrinked, as well as some brackets mounted correctly. however the tools present in the engine bay is a different story.
