C4C's taking up space in the yards

Typically I can find 4 to 8 fresh e30s in the yards and now the number is greatly reduced due to cash for clunkers taking up space.
yeah, there are some really nice C4C spares but the engine components have been tagged so that the parts cant be used.

the you pull it yards around here have c4c cars in them, but they either have no engine or just a big green C4C painted on the roof. they are just starting to show up now.

Yep engine and drivetrain have to be destroyed. Engines should already be siezed (and are therefore worthless) but the rest of the car is salvageable.

IIRC they can only be in the yard for about 30 days as well, they will all be gone soon enough.

yeah, its amusing seeing C4C engines opened up to see what damage the silicate-whatever does to the bearings... still, annoying as shit - tons of 7-series and range rovers in the yards

It was a governmentally run program, it not only doesnt have to make sense, it would be against policy for it TO make sense......
