Need advice from all you who know what to loook for

I found a 325i that i wanna go take a look at in my area and just wanna know what to look for when i go see it, i know its an i not an is so does that mean it doesnt have limited slip?

any pro's and con's to these cars or just things i should know going into this would be greatly appreciated, heres the link and some more specs i found out from a phone call with him.

its has 144xxx miles on it, used it as a daily, very clean interior just needs a shift boot, he says theres no major issues and the bodys in good shape and if all that is accurate i feel the price is almost too good to be true.

Thanks ahead of time for helping out a noobie

That interior does look pretty nice. For the year, those miles are ridiculously low. I doubt they are accurate, but you never know. Check that it tracks straight and revs well, if you are just looking for a DD it's almost certainly worth that much if all the maintenance is in order.

They didn't make the 325i in the US until model year '87. By the looks of that car and the M3 badge, I'd call bullshit; probably an eta. Also check to see if the odometer works. But if it has an "i" gauge cluster (7k tach instead of 5 or 6k) then it's probably safe to say the mileage is inaccurate.

No 325i in 85' that's a 325e. Ask the usual recent maintenance questions, timing belt, suspension etc. Looks nice it has some good parts, I could do without the wing though e30's look best wingless
You should've read the directions before you showed up at the party.:stupid:

It's alright, my car was bought for $1200 in iffy condition and to be honest it looked a lot better stock and dirty than that turd did. Throw another $2k or so and a bunch of elbow grease at it and you might have an M50 swapped early model with brand new upgraded radiator, shifter, suspension, brakes, steering, wheels/tires and lights.
