I'm just hoping the next generation 1er will have a sleeker design, and no HPFP failures.

Now that would be exciting news..

      LAME

Call me when they bring the 123d hatch to America.

Or here is a novel idea: A BMW that weighs less than 3000lb

Lite, lots of HP, boxy and tuned up, I'm surprised I don't love it. I do like it and if it depreciates like a bastard maybe I will own one some time in the future.

This makes me hate CA even more, I could almost get 2 of these cars for my monthly mortgage payment.

Meh. As much as I pined for the 1 series since before it even got the official green light, I've been nothing but disappointed since its US release. This doesn't interest me either.

I'll wait and see what the next generation 1er brings.

...Cosmetically, the so-called "M1" will wear an M division body kit with a new front spoiler, flared wheel arches, larger side sills, a rear spoiler and an aggressive rear valance with four M-signature chrome exhaust tips.
              Sounds good on paper.

I'm as extremely non-plussed as I can be. I too, was excited for the new 1 series, hoping for an "affordable" new version of the E30. When I was selling for Perillo BMW a few years ago, I had so many people that truly wanted something exactly like a refreshed, updated E30--especially the boxy style. BMW just didn't get it somehow. Don't know if I'll ever own another new bimmer.

                    6cyl? Lame

Maybe they should call it the M135i? the tii idea isn't bad either but kids won't get that one.

Yeah, nothing like throwing a big downpayment at a depreciating "asset."

I'd rather have the money in the bank. Then again, that's why I don't drive new cars.

Really pathetic that they can't make a business case for a 4 cyl even in their smallest cars.

Where is the 4 cylinder diesel?

Sorry, but BMW doesn't make a 6 that's remotely interesting to me right now. Now a ~300hp 4cyl TT with a 10k redline? That's interesting(says the guy with the s14 lol).
