    Trying to finish my HG+Timing Belt job....missing a hose

    can someone tell me what hose im missing.

    it connects to the throttle body, there are a couple of spaces there, here is what i have so far.

    ICV
    hose that runs from TB to Thermostat Housing.
    hose that is next to the tb/thermo hose, but runs into the block.

    what is the big opening for? the 2nd big opening by the ICV... i can't figure out what its for...

      It goes to the valve cover. Its a pcv hose.

        The breather hose that connects to the top left corner of the valve cover, goes underneath the intake manifold, and to the TB?

        It's been a while since I've messed with that stuff, but just throwing it out there..

                okay, auto stores dont carry it. can i get away running the car without this hose, temporarily?

                  Yeah #3 is the one. You can drive without it if you absolutely have to, but the car will run noticeably worse, similar to the oil cap being off... ( I wouldn't personally)

                  Are there no import parts shops in your area? If you need to order one, http://www.autohausaz.com/ is a good place to get it from.

                    found a replacement, in my storage with the other e30 bits and pieces i somehow forgot about.

                    everything is put back together, aside from the exhaust. any tips for massaging the flexible pipe onto the flange/manifold? this is the only thing holding me back, and its pissing me off. after this i gotta fill it up with oil/coolant, and pray it cranks lol.

                      it cranked, it started, it RUNS. sounds like a Harley Davidson tho. still don't have that flexible exhaust piece on it, only part missing.....

                        its all done, just drove it around the neighborhood. tires have flat spots now though, just another thing to consider. argh.
