This should be fun... I just set up my team. I just started a mini-league for the r3v guys (and anyone else who wants to join as well)

    League Name: FullOpp
    Password: r3vlimited

Points only start counting after the 3rd race (first two are just for practice), so you're still on time to sign up!

I agree about refueling, it should be back, otherwise it's like looking at fat cows on ice the first 15 laps, nobody wants to make any moves and destroy the tires on such heavy cars.
Vettel and Alonso are very fast

The first race was good. Vettel leading until...
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I bet this season will be nothing but 'one stoppers'

Anyone else laugh when the HTR dropped out on lap 3, then the Virgin on lap 5?

SUPER bummed that Vettel lost the #1 spot because of a fucking exhaust manifold.

Bahrain usually is boring. Australia will be more eventful. Street courses FTW.

I thought this was actually a somewhat exciting Bahrain, the tire issues seem to facilitate racing, but I am just waiting for a decent track like Spa to really draw conclusions. I thought the Indy race was really good as well, sadly Takuma Sato went out in the beginning before I even tuned in.
                      EDIT: completely agree Janderson

Due to the 'no refueling' I think it is a negative on F1. It seems the top teams will start on the soft everytime. Then just choose when they need to push it on the harder tire. As said they did it in unison so my assumption is each engineer is watching the timing and if one pushes they tell driver to push as well. Wait for others to 'conserve' and they do the same.

where can i get good wallpapers? i want in race shots. I used to get them from BMW-S but since they are not really a team anymore (not really) i was thinkin redbull, since vettel used to drive the bmw. redbulls site has some good pictures but no rightclick ability. same with f1 website.

Man, what an emotional trip for Vettel. And it turns out that it wasn't the exhaust, but supposedly a failed sparkplug.

I read that someone suggested they do a mandatory 2 pitstop rule for tire changes, which I believe would spice things up for the viewers.

I personally think that the fueling rule change has made it more interesting. The pit stops are insanely fast and think about when rain comes in for a race, that will make tire choice huge. maybe its just the nascar in me when it comes to pitstops but i like the new rules

I do too, and I think Bahrain is a case of people not knowing wtf to do yet. Prost has said that it will probably take 3 or 4 races for people to understand the system and that once they do, the better drivers will probably like it more.

Just look at Button who said he saved his tires too much, or Massa who was trying to save gas for 30 laps, people are trying to play it safe at first and slowly experiment with what works. In a few races we will see people pushing the limits. Also Bahrain ALWAYS sucks, so I think it is a bad race to cast judgement on the new rules.
