I have found an add on craigslist for an '86 325e for $1800 (obo)
good:
140k miles
ac (needs a hose)
5 speed
runs great; very torqy (<not sure how to spell. lol)
good interior (-dash)

bad:
ac needs a hose
some rust on sunroof (needs a little body work all around)
small dent on front right quarter panel of car
DV bumpers
needs alignment

will have about 1k to play with... is it worth it?

turns out i didnt get it. the wheels needed super alignment, one was practically being dragged. and the guy was firm with $1800. i was hoping to bargain him down...
