88 325is I dont think the lock cyl is frozen but the key wont work. its never worked in the passenger door. Central locking system makes noise when operated from the trunk but doesnt activate doors. I have a slim jim but i cant get it to work on this car. any tips??

This happened to me not long ago, but mine wasnt shut all the way. I was able to bend a metal coat-hanger, shimmy it inside the car and pop lock. Maybe if you have some plastic shims you can wedge them in to prevent damaging the rubber.

Im trying to remember where exactly the locking mechanism is on the door. I know Ive changed a few out its just escaping me right now.

Use a plastic packing strip (the plastic like ones), fold it in half, then stick it between the door seal. You can then shift it (pull/ push) open, then slide it down.. Once you have it over the door lock, pull it tight and lift!
