I made a killing with my wife's old textbooks last week on ebay.just type In that isbn number and it loads pictures and gives you the average selling price. you dont have to do much of anything.

Saved $300 on books this semester by buying used books. (Comparing to used books in bookstore or new books in same store if there weren't any used).

half.com pays on a two-week schedule, and tells you how to ship.

I prefer ebay. I like paypal in my account, now.

USPS has a 'media mail' category. HEAVY text books will run you about $2-3. I've shipped small paperbacks for well under $1. Service is typcially 7-10 days.

I need to sell of some of my old books, as this semester my school decided not to buy them back if the class wasn't being tuaght the next semester  And they gave decent cash also.

yeah, it's a USPS special rate for media (books, cds, movies, etc). Usually quite a bit cheaper than first class postage. Most books will be right around $1-1.50. Just tell them that it's a book and you want to ship it 'media mail'.
