Looking for the general consensus on beer halls in Bavaria/Austria. Anyone have names and general locations on those that are worthy (above average) that I should pay a visit?

Well, the obvious choice would be the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. I didn't go there, or even to Munich, but that is the most well known in the region.
Even pubs are fun to go to. I went to some that brew their own beer, mix that with watching soccer on projector = good times.

Do not go to the Hofbrauhaus unless you wanna get your ass ripped off. I lived there for 3 years, and know many other better places. Plus, you dont wanna look like a stupid tourist going there, its packed with them. Fun place, but prices are retarded. PM me if you want some good places in Munich.Comment
