    325e Flywheel Help

Hey guys. A buddy of mine just had a transmission shop install in a new transmission into his 87 325e. This car has the flywheel mounted crank sensors and it appears to me that they've broken off the tab on the flywheel.

Does anyone have a picture of a flywheel with a good tab that we can take to the tranny shop to show these fools what they've done?

    Thanks!

Yes.. and no. I really need a photo of the flywheel from an automatic. But you've got the right idea.

Wednesday bump... going to get screwed by the transmission shop guys. Surely someone has one laying around they can take a good picture of. I've search all over and no one seems to have a picture of the automatic flywheel, only manuals.

          Thanks!

There must be a spot on the flywheel in your car that looks like it had a piece broken off of it. Have you tried real oem?

Yes.. there is a spot. Here's a pic of it. What I need is a picture of a good flywheel so that we can prove to the transmission shop that they broke the tab off before returning the car to us. We're trying to avoid paying another $300+ in labor for them to fix their mistake.

Automatics don't have flywheels. I can't remember what the part is called that they have that is in place of it. Not the torque converter.

Edit: It is called the flexplate.
