just put on my e36 rack and....

it feels like at the end of each full turn the system is pushing on some kind of pressure.. it gets just a little bit hard to turn at the end half turn on each side.

the e30 rack turned all the way left and right effortlessly (front on jackstands engine not running)

now with the new rack installed (95 m3) when i turn it all the way, the fluid level in the reservoir rises a little bit at each end, sometimes little bubble will come out of the rise. but fluid is moving up.. and it feels like that pressure is whats making it harder to turn..

    Any ideas on this?

are you turning your wheel with engine running? Is your PS all connected?

without engine running... i did it with the engine running last night and thought i got all the air out, this morning i was turning it with the motor off while ive been gravity bleeding my brakes. on each lock, a bubble comes up. im forcing that bubble somewhere, b/c it gets harder to turn when it gets close to lock. if i go back and forth really fast, it really gets hard to turn... my e30 rack never acted like this..

is this a symptom of air in the system still? i dont want to blow some end seals on my new rack or anything stupid like that.

bump... even with the motor running it feels like it requires more effort to turn than the e30 rack did. not alot of effort, just a bit more throughout the radius.

is this just a product of gears and gearing?
