    1. Pass you dont want an iX
    2. Heater core is in the dash, well, behind it. It will not make the car overheat.
    3. Before you buy ANY e30. READ...and RESEARCH what your looking for according to what your needs are.

You want a DD. Then find something pretty much stock and keep it that way, besides some suspension upgrades, etc.

You want a track car..well, actually you still want something pretty stock, but you might consider buying someone elses work, i.e. a car that will cost you more but is already "modded".

Ive done both. Been pretty happy both ways. In truth, if the mods done are pretty standard and recent, the car hasnt been beat like a dog, etc. Hey.. let someone else do the work and buy the parts. I'm not proud.

So ive been in the JDM seen for several years and its just all to much money to all around and with the huge - of FWD and getting to play around with my buddy's e36 ive been quickly taking a liking to E30s.
          Nice looking CSI!
Very tastefully done, considering the year.

so my plan is as follows sell the civic pick up a decent shape e30 4dr go drifting!
If you're serious about selling your CSI, you could buy an excellent 4dr e30.

So my question to everyone is buying a e30 a good idea or should i look more modern ive always loved the look of a e30.
          Really!?
You shouldn't have to ask this. You're on an e30 enthusiast forum for fuck's sake. Almost everyone here is going to tell you that God created the earth in 6 days, and on the 7th he created the e30.

In all sincerity, it really depends what you're looking for. If you want to go REALLY, REALLY fast, like 600+ rwhp, the e30 probably isn't the car for you.
However, the e30 is actually remarkably stable, even up to about 130mph. This surprised me about them. The road feel on the highway is much more confidence inspiring than that of, say a civic. Past about 130 or 140, the newer cars feel a bit more planted. The great thing about an e30 is the predictablility. I'd say, unless you plan on building a highway car and going 150+ on a regular basis, the e30 is probably a perfect car for you. Reliable, cheap, fairly easy to work on, fun to drive comfortable. Decisiou should be an easy one.

This should give the OP a nice 4dr e30 drift car for a little over half what you'll probably get for your civic.

hey sorry i havent replyed in a while. ive been enjoying this crazy 2 and half feet of snow we just got here, shits crazy! Dont happen here to much had to throw down a back flip or two.

but any way pbr87 thanks for all the info and motovation. what im really looking for bottom line is a fun to drive relable 4dr (being a sedan now it inconvenient) car that i can get sideways once in a while(fwd sucks under steer ftl). i would like at least a lil more torque then my civic 128fp(sucks theres no feeling of speed its just quick). as far as 150 highway speeds unless the car feels great at that speed im cool with 130 thats as fast as i could get my civic to and with the suspension work i have done its solid.

id like to accomplish all of that for under 2k really im not really willing to sell my car in the winter i think i could get more for it in the spring cleaner and what not. id really like to get a good amount of profit from my civic to put as a down payment on a house, i cant see a better use of the money. the biggest issue im having is finding a car there just arent that many 4drs out there and the ones that are are all rusted thru.
