    Another MarkD question.

So I've decided to hold off on a few ideas and hve decided to keep the m20, and enjoy it for what it is. I've seen a few Mark D chips that are similar to my set up. The one I'm looking at is for the m20b25 and 19lb injectors. I'm running an m20b25 with a cam, 19lb injectors, and an m30 maf. My question is, is that chip (m20b25&19lb injectors) the closest one I could get for my current set up? I've tried emailing Mark a handful of times, but haven't received a response. Ever. Hopefully this thread will be a simple one.

He does make a chip to be used in conjunction with an MAF.
I'm sure he can make one with the 19lb injectors also, if he doesn't already have one.
I'll try emailing him on your behalf, he usually answers within the same day..

I've got the chip you are talking about. He made it specifically for people going with the 19# injectors and the m30 intake. If it wasn't already in the car I'd have you a part number.

      EDIT:

      E30-173.6K9-9117

      Deciphers to:

Chip for the E30, 0 261 200 173 DME, 6900 RPM rev limiter, 91 octane, use in conjunction with 17# or 19# injectors.

He makes another chip for those of you getting better octane gas (93) that also raises the rev limiter to 7000 RPM.
      Jah bless! :pimp:

After emailing him, he needs to know the cam duration..
Let me know asap, he's going to check if he can already has that software in his collection or if he needs to develop it.

I've emailed him several times with no response, and very similar questions... What gives?

Does your cam upgrade make the 19lb injectors necessary? Is there any benefit in going 17/19 lb from stock if you're just using a M30 intake?

He told me the best time to contact him was on the weekend, since he has some contract work to do during the week and he's really pressed for time.
He has a gmail account though, so I was able to talk to him through the chat feature there.
Eric, what's your cam profile so I can give it to him right way -- he's waiting for my email.

Hey I really appreciate you helping me out. I just got home from work, hence the really late response. And as for the cam duration, I'm not 100% positive on the number. The guy who built my motor, who had it custom made, said it's the 'biggest' cam you can throw into an m20 without doing any major valve, ect work. He used it in his 3.0L m20 he built.

Does that help much? If not, let me know.

Well it was one of those 'while youre in there' type of things. It just made sense at the time.

So your motor is stock, but you have the M30 intake on it, and you want to do 17/19lb injectors? The stock air box on the m20 is amazing for a stock m20. The M30 (I heard) can cause problems on a stock motor.

Yeah, I have a stock m20 now. Updating the AFM is my only foreseeable upgrade (aside from the injectors, if they would make any difference). If the M30 air box is just going to cause headaches, perhaps the best route to go is a stock injector 93 octane chip?

If you want stock "reliability", I'd go with a 93 octane chip w/stock injectors.

Yeah, don't use the M30 afm. Keep your stock M20 one, as it works perfect.

What are you looking to get out of this anyways?
