Supercharging/turbocharging

I was talking to someone today who clearly didn't know anything about cars.
I told him I would love to have a m52 that was charged, he told me that it was impossible to do to a bmw. I laughed at him, he tried telling me they were far too impossible and no matter how you try to set it up it would blow. What a laugh.

I told him they'd blow if you didn't do it right, if you didn't get everything you needed for it to be properly installed and what not, at the show n shine last year there were so many m52's with turbochargers so it was kinda pointless to argue with him because all he knows is how to buy an ebay kit and bolt it on a honda apparently

Sorry this was an anticlimactic thread for you, but if you've ever attended the show n shine at bav auto you would see why this was funny to me when the guy said that, really, have you ever heard of someone saying it's impossible to turbocharge a bmw?

Awhile back I had a guy refuse to do exhaust work on an old BMW. Said they only do Fords and Chevys. Makes sense, there's a huge difference between BMW piping and domestic piping. You know, metric system and all. It's hard for us Americans to understand.

I've heard of a lot of jackasses saying you can't turbo a BMW, A ninja ("because bike engines are to small, they don't make turbos for engines that small, you're a dumbass"),
I've heard people call BMW 3 series FWD pieces of shit. Oh and the infamous "BMW V6"
