Replacing key and tumbler what do i need to know????

long story short PO broke off the key in ignition, i ordered new key and tumbler from PELICAN parts for around 50 bucks, today im going to attempt to switch them out, i now use the broken key to turn the car on, i just put in the "half" key and it turns, whats the procedure for removing a tumbler, if im not wrong i need to put the key in 1st position and put a wire or something that will fit in the little whole next to the tumbler and it should pop out?? will the old one just "pop in" any info will be appreciated guys thanks

get a small allen key [4.5mm or something]

turn the key to 'accessories' and put the allen key into a hole thats located on the face of the tumbler. should pop out but iy may be hard to do with a broken key.

4.5mm is far from small. It needs to be sub 2mm, closer to 1mm.

Yes. The hole to release the ignition cylinder is definitely sub 2mm. I use a 1.5mm allen key.
