    Skateboarding in California

Me and a few of my friends are going to LA and SF for spring break in 5 weeks for a skateboarding trip and will not have a clue where all to go. We will be out there for 8 days and it would be awesome if any locals new of any spots or at least skateparks that are definately worth paying a visit to. Outdoor concrete parks would be ideal!, but beggars cant be choosers so Im open to anything!! thanks

SF has Pier 7. Dunno how it looks now, it's been a while. Last time I heard they skate stopped all the ledges but I'm sure the stairs and using the ledge as a manual pad still work. If the cops come, run.

OK, Pier 7 isn't really a "bust" per se. What happens is the cops just drive by and the skaters automatically flee. 10-20 minutes later, they all come back until the next cop patrols it. It doesn't happen all too often (AFAIR), but ask some of the locals to be sure. Say hello to Mike York and Marcus McBride, too.

There's a fucking awesome park in Klamath Falls, too. There's a great concrete park in Redmond (about 15 minutes from me), and there's a brand new indoor place here in town.

If you come out to Sac you can skate at Frontline in Woodland ;) Nyjah Huston's (winner of the Tampa AM 2005 comp) family owns it so he rips there, and Stefan Janoski pops in every now and then.

Most of The Embarcadero has ledges, and yes, it is illegal to skateboard there.

check out http://www.socalskateparks.com/parks/homepage , this will have info on places in LA.

Not sure about where to skate in SF that isn't already blown out since that was the skateboarding mecca of the late 80's - early 90's.

I can show you guys places to skate and a few pro's to hang with if you ever come to SD.
