Anyone else stuck at college, with their snow tires still at home?
Before anyone yells at me, I made multiple attempts to get snow tires on my car by now, but the person I bought them from made them most inconviently unavailable to me when I was home ( :x Brew! you bastard!). So, shit out of luck, I had to deal with driving back to mid-upstate NY with my 225/45 Yoko AVS's still on.
Ultra-high performance tires + neg. camber from lowered suspension + snow + a shitty town, that for some reason is against plowing their roads = fucking scary driving.
I really hope no one else is stuck in a similar condition, especially with the "blizzard" in the northeast and new accident stories popping up. I never had to drive with more than 2.5-3" of snow on the ground, but it was a challenge none-the-less.
Trying to just get my car out of its parking spot was a 45-minute job (finding traction was like trying to find a virgin in an abortion clinic - it was just impossible). And another 30 minutes, lots of adrenaline, and a few shot nerves later, I had driven my car about 1.5 miles back to campus.
I just want to wish everyone luck in their travels, and drive safely.
PS: will Pete and Greg and all the other NE guys smack Brew for me when you all go to F1 this weekend, thanks
