**e30 trade for b14 fair?**

Hey guys,
I currently own a 1995 Nissan 200sx (b14) w/ 175k miles on it & I'm looking to trade it for 1989 BMW 325 Convertible with 185k miles on it. Would this trade be fair?

e30 (his):
- manual transmission
- needs a new water pump (how much would that cost?)
- seals are not good for the soft top.
- rear window is cracked
- engine is good but fan is making noise (what's the typical problem on that?)

b14 (mine):
- needs new shocks (really really bumpy/bouncy).
- front is a darker shade of color than the rest of the car due to a small accident.
- overall, car runs great & has a JVC head unit.

& by judging on the problems on the e30, how much $$ would I have to spend if traded?

Water pump will be about 50 bucks if you do it yourself.

fan noise is probably the shitty waterpump. When the bearings go they make all types of noises.

Seals and windows I have no idea about.

I'd trade in a heartbeat.

Yeah, that trade is definitely worth it! The Sentra is just as reliable as the 325, but alot slower, less fun to drive and less comfortable. Definitely trade!
