    Similar site for X5s ??

    R3V posters....

I've been enjoying and benefiting from this site for info and parts for my e30s.

I also have an X5 and wonder if there is a similar site someone can direct me to for those that is equally useful?

    Thanks.

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

That is a funny link, DannyG.

Yes, I've also done a search...I was just hoping others had a personal recommendation and experience with other sites....which is how I found THIS site.

      Thanks though.

Thanks nespo. Will check it out.

Jeff W - I've only owned BMWs since getting my license. I've had multiple 3s (2 in the drive as we speak), 5's, 7's, wagons, and the SAV. I've enjoyed them all for their many different reasons and functionality / ride.

Personally, I am enjoying my x5 (4.4) most...and like the x5 look best of all other SUVs around....but then again, I'm a BMW loyalist so perhaps I'm jaded!

Just to add my 2 cents here...I owned a '02 X5 4.4i with almost every option-sport and premium package, xenons, navigation, rear load floor, etc. for about a year. I also installed the 20" wheels from the 4.6is X5. Of the 14 or so BMW's I have owned in the last 10 years, I have to say I probably miss the X5 the most of any of them-and just about enjoyed driving it more than any of the others.

They do have their weak points-just as any BMW does-but once those are corrected it is an awesome vehicle to drive. Very good handling and ride with the sports package, a good amount of interior room, great power with the 4.4l V8, and it got decent MPG on the highway considering it was all wheel drive and weighed well over 2 tons.

As far as being ugly-well, to me a non-sports packaged X5 3.0 isn't very attractive-but the 4.4i with sports package and the right set of BMW wheels can look very aggressive and sporting. The best E53 models were the 4.6 and 4.8is-those look very nice and had upgraded engines and interiors.

As soon as the prices on the newer body style X5's come down to a price I am comfortable with, I will be selling my E39 M5 and buying one.

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...

aren't e39 m5's roughly the same price as them? if not more?

                  edit: missed new body style.

to me, the X5 with manual transmission seems pretty sleek.
