    Carbon blower motor cover

Back in the day BMPD used to have a carbon fiver blower motor cover. I cant find it on their site and I dont have a recent catalog. Do they still offer it? Anyone else offer it?

Also anyone take out that blanket that goes over the cover and down into the trans tunnel? How is the sound and heat in the cabin with it off?

    Thanks

if you're reffering to the dark grey foam mat that's on the firewall and trans tunnel, I took mine out. I hear a little more fluid noise (auto tranny, tho) from there and I can hear my valves tick more (m20, lol). But as for heat issues, I have noticed none

its not a huge weight savings but it makes ANY rear engine/tranny/starter work 100x easier

Interesting... Looks like I will be pulling out that mat.

Any word on the carbon blower cover? I might just call BMP today and ask. I know Vink still sells one but its all the way over in the netherlands

the 325is is getting a full restoration so that a ways out on the pics...

the 325es has its gas pedal on the windshield right now... makes it hard to drive. Pics and vid in a little over a month after it gets cleaned up.

I pulled out all of my black sound deadning on the firewall and all through tranny tunnel, that shit wieghs a ton. I replaced it all w/ thermotech cool it sound and heat insulation its alot lighter and probably does a better jog and is the thickness of cardboard.
