What is this car worth? SR20DET E30 inside

While browsing a local car forum I came across an interesting e30.

It is a bit of a mystery car. The owner has no idea who did the swap. He says the engine and transmission mounts look like quality work. He also says the car starts and drives as it should, but some of the gauges don't work on the dash.

The engine is currently on stock boost.

This car has the potential to be a wiring nightmare, but it is a bit intriguing to me.

The car is an 87 model that is otherwise completely stock.

What is this car worth?

I wouldn't touch it, not because it has nissan motor but because the car looks like a trash can, would rather find clean 89-91 e30 with M20

not sure but that wire near the aircleaner with no insulation or crimp cap is scary

It looks like they had a totally stock car sitting around and they got bored and put that SR20 in.

I also wouldn't touch it. Mostly because it has 4 doors though.

Its a sleeper thats for sure. But it also looks like your going to get into cleaning up the wires and it turn into a total nightmare. If the price is right....

I started looking at the pictures thinking "ok the paint is bad but maybes its alright" then I got to the engine bay. Let's just say I almost had to run to the bathroom to be sick. Flame me if you want but putting a Japanese motor in an E30 is a disgrace. Plus it looks like a hack job at best.

Make an offer, then part it out. Seriously why ask? What do you want to spend? I then cut that in half and start there if I feel it worth the time.

YES.. do not touch. Solving the wiring would be a PITA. Gah! many many headaches I've had over sr/ka wiring.

if motor is indeed good condition I'd say it's worth around 2 to 2.5 g's.

I want to know which harness he used......

i'd buy it for 1500. who cares what the wires look like as long as it doesn't catch on fire and runs.
