after the air filter, you have the mass air flow, thats a wider connector with i think 4 wires. then there is the idle air control valve, that has 2 wires. and there is the throttle position sensor, that one has 3 wires iirc. those are really the only 3 connectors that need to be plugged in after the air filter that are needed for the car to run proper.

Thats the one I need, the throttle position sensor. I tryed looking but never found nothing. Where is the sensor located. I only know where the mass air flow one goes. thanks and seems like I really need help. Ill try searching right now for something. thanks for the help though.

alright thanks, but it's not that one either i know which one u mean though, it's another connector that's wrapped with the same connector from the throttle position sensor.

                      barometric pressure sensor

You have an ETA and the extra plug is for the barometric sensor that is on the passenger side of the air filter box.... the latter I motors don't have this..
here is a schematic that shows it hooks up to the ecu

and here is a pic of the one on my DD

                      and the realoem link
                      http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...37&hg=13&fg=15

                      it is part # 10 I think..
You don't have to have it hooked up for the car to run, it just supposedly fine tunes the fuel injection..
                      Good luck

Thank u very much, u really helped me, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help, I discovered later on that the reason the car did not start was because there is no spark! :( Another problem I have now! thanks foe the help though!
