My tool assortment is mostly composed of Matco, Snap-on, and Craftsman tools. Matco and Snap-on are about on the same level, although I've been using Snap-on for a long time so I'm a bit biased.. I haven't bought hardly any Snap-on stuff in 3 years because all of the Snap-on salesmen/service guys are a pain to deal with and hardly know what they are talking about. Of course, that doesn't apply to all of them, but the guys around here kind of suck. Craftsman hand tools (ratchets, wrenches, picks, pry-bars, etc) don't even begin to compare to Snappy or Matco.

On the subject of tool boxes, the one pictured behind my car in the picture below is huge.. Picture doesn't do it much justice--

Have you ever used a Craps man Box vs Matco????????

Theres a Huge difference. The bearings on the craftsman drawers are a freaking joke.

Ive had a snap on KRL box,and yes it was nice But way over priced. I sold it and just got a matco box,and i still have money left over.

Silver eagle is more like craftsman but still better then craftsman.
Now as for Ratchets Snap on owns all !

I bought my Matco when most members on this board were in diapers.

It is a top quality box, far better slides than todays Matco.

                        Bullshit x2.

                        Matco makes good tools.

"Popular Mechanics" make sockets that explode and pliers that break and stab into your hand. A good prank would be putting them in someone's toolbox.

doing bodywork and metal fab. when you hang panels you can lock them down for checking panel alignment.
i have a tool cart just for my vice grips.

Yes I have and I was not talking about the boxes I was referring to the tools in general. Cman boxes are made mostly by Waterloo. My current is a semi crappy older Stainless one form sams. It sucks compared to the snap or matco I want and will get some day. but it holds all my tools so thats all that counts

Yes luke Matco boxes are not like they used to be when they made yours, they have been bought up by danher remember, they cheapened production and quality some time ago
