dishwasher to heated parts washer conversion?

I had a chunk of thought dedicated to this for the last 5 minutes, how possible would it be? I mean if it consists of replacing once a year or so or modifying it to be able to withstand motor oils and more aggressive water based solvents (seals, hoses, shit like that which could go deteriorating) its still cheaper at $25-50 for a used unit rather than a $3000 commercial grade heated parts washer. No harbor freight junk...Ive already tried that and by itself it sucks.

Buy one, take out the racks and weld/construct a rack right in the middle. Wash parts, see what happens.

Some guys from 2002faq.com did exactly what you are talking about. And the "dishwasher method" worked great on stuff such as heads... Just make sure your soap is compatible with aluminum...

35 gallon drum with 10 gallons of simple green "crystal" mixed with water, used closed loop?

A 5 gallon bucket of crystal is about $70

If you drew from the bottom of a bucket would you need a pump? Would gravity be adequate if the drum were on top of the machine? I bet it would kick ass...
