    Shift Slop

So, I looked in the shifter FAQ and couldn't really find the answer...also googled...I'm sure I'm not the only one who is experiencing or has experienced shifter slop...
In every gear I can move my shifter like 2 inches each way...it's really annoying because it keeps ripping my shift boots, cuz in order to get into reverse i have to pull it soooo far over that my center console moves over. I was wondering if people have found how to fix this and which parts they replaced in the linkage. I should add i got the SSK from ireland engineering...that came with 2 lil black bushings...which i havent installed yet...could that be the problem? Before i install those, i wanna replace other trouble problems...
    thanks

Did you really search that hard?

And I think that the black bushings you are talking about go into the holes that the shift rod go into, and they help to eliminate this slop that you have.
