    decisions, decisionz

Car is an 87 325is, I want to get rid of the diving boards on a budget and am torn in which direction to go. Right now I have a euro front bumper w/o brackets that is has some slight pitting (paid $250 shipped, which I prob over paid a lil bit on), if I were to use it I would eventually paint it body color. Its hard to find anyone who just has a rear euro for a good price. Option #1 wait for/find the cheapest rear euro bumper, paint it body color, use 87 IS front valance, buy brackets from dealer for $75, budget side skirts, budget rear apron. Option #2, pic up a complete euro set with brackets from member for $425 shipped, sell current front euro bumper , use stock 87 IS front valance, SHO or budget side skirts and budget or reproduction rear apron. Option #3, wait for a CL part out and get plastic bumpers, get them painted schwartz, sell 87 IS front valance, sell front euro bumper, get a volvo lip, cheap side skirts, rear valance. Option #4 wait for a good condition used rieger body kit, a schwartz one recently sold for $500 but I was too late.

The pros to going euro is that it fits the rear w/o body work and it is more unique.
The cons to euro is that parts are less abundant and it is hard to find front and rear valances and when I do I will have to pay lots to get them shipped.

The pros to plastic is it is so much more abundant to find parts.
The cons to plastic is the body work, paint, and I can't use my current front valance or fogs.

Here is the car in question, Im just wondering what other peoples opinions are, who has done it, would you go the same route if you did it again, I want my car to look good without braking the bank, ect.

Lower your car before you do anything else. Don't spend the money on any other cosmetic stuff until you do that. It looks like a donk right now with those wheels.

On another note, see my sig. My car is an '86, I did the full facelift including the rear valance.

It has settled more since install, that is an old pic, and once it gets nicer outside I do plan on going a little bit lower

euro bumpers always are the best option for an early model.

resell your parts. they were a mistake. also, get some gc's on that car... those wheels need much more low.
