I have a friend that is selling his mini craftsman compressor. I haven't gotten a chance yet to look at it. I am thinking of picking this up 1st so I can take it to the track and be able to have my own source of air, then getting that $400 Husky one :) Thanks everyone for your input!
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

John, did you seriously shove your air compressor in your garage ceiling?

        Awesome!

well, until you gotta work on it. I see you ran an external water drain too.

400 bucks for a 60gal is theft, thats the price of a 30gal. Looks like im getting an aircompressor pretty soon

edit: though i dont wanna bother with 220v, so ill probly get a smaller one anyway

John, it is a lot easier to pipe the inlet outside than crane the entire compressor into the attic.

220v 100 amps would be enough.

I would get a good regulator from control-air or fisher, along with a coalescing filter to remove compressor oils.

If he is buying a home depot special, the dryer and regular will be more expensive than the compressor.

If I had enough money I would buy this. A true 5 hp rotary screw you prob couldn't hear running if it had an enclosure.

If this thread doesn't make you want to get a big compressor, I don't know what does. (You may have to register to see pics, but it's a good forum to be on anyways)

I love this board...after recently joining I felt it was time for me to contribute. I recently picked this compressor up and was looking for some others to share their systems with the rest of the board. Mine is a Kellogg-American, Model 321 TV 2 Cylinders Bore LP/HP – 3.25 & 1.75 Stroke – 3...
