    Newbie questions

Morning, all. I've got a few questions about the '91 318is I picked up last week. Please pardon the newbie. :)

Are there any tiedown points in the trunk? I haven't seen any, but I haven't looked under the carpet, yet. I want to carry a plastic box with a lid semi-permanently (glass cleaner, rags, spare quart of oil, basic tools, etc.) but don't want it sliding all over the place. If I don't find any, I'm thinking I'll try to mount a quartet of rings in the floor.

Is there an idiot buzzer for the headlights? There's a chime for when the keys are in the ignition and the door's open, but I don't hear anything when I have the lights on and the key out. It's just a matter of time before I kill the battery by leaving the lights on.

Er, I thought I had more, but I guess that'll do for now. :D

What I did for my cleaner box in the trunk was to put Velcro on the bottom. It stays put nice right next to the battery cover. I don't ever remember any headlight gong on any of my cars.

You need to buy yourself a Scion XB for all the crap you want to put in, I think the e30 is too complicated for you, that's why you leave the lights on all the time.

If you leave your lights on, when you turn off the key they turn off. The only lights that stay on are the parking lights, which will run down the battery, but not as quickly!
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!
