Yesterday I saw a super clean 73 914 2.0 at pick n pull for $800, no rust. It's freaking killing me that I didn't swoop when I had the chance because I needed something to drive while I do my trans and engine swap. It was sold by the time I got back to the front desk fml.

Yup that one. The front bumper rubber was the only thing wrong on it, I really wish I bought it when I had the chance. Could have driven it while I did my swap then given my lil sis her first car.Originally posted by stumble_t View PostI saw this car on monday at PnP oakland. Had "sold" on the window.Jah bless! :pimp:

914s are cool. nick, just curious as to why you are doing an engine/trans swap?

Lol I wasn't cooked, I was broke. I still think I should have called a few friends and borrowed 800 though. I'm doing the transmission swap because 3rd gear has been pretty much fucked since I got the car, and the engine swap because it's got 300k, and is feeling pretty tired. 3.1L m20 possibly going in.Originally posted by freeride53 View Postthis.
