    keyless entry troubleshooting

I know a lot of you have had success with keyless entry so maybe you can help me with an issue I had when I tried to install mine. I bought what I assume to be the newest incarnation of the fabled fleabay kit from mypushcart. It's the CrimeStopper CS-883.

First I tried doing the trunk install, but the instructions called for it to be connected to the ignition wire so it could be "programmed" so I delved into the driver's foot well. I thought I had everything wired up correctly, then when I plugged the harness into the unit itself, everything locked and unlocked twice automatically, then had no response whatsoever. If anyone has this particular kit and could shed some light on anything I'm doing wrong, that would be awesome.

IIRC, I only connected to the lock and unlock wires, power, ground, and ignition. No need for flashing parking lights or anything like that.

    Thanks guys.
