Made A brace for my skid plate today

Eric, I am worried about underchassis aerodynamics, and how that round tubing will affect airflow. Can you go rent a wind tunnel and do some testing?

On the ridgeline plate I made they want to know if the motor will still drop out in a head on crash. So off to the Crash test center first.

How thick is the metal for the skid plate?

Its made of 10 gauge steel.

Well, do you want to do body work/welding to PERMANENTLY place a skid plate on your car? If not, go EJ's. Also, it will transfer vehicles if you tragically get into a total accident.

Honestly don't think it's necessary, but cool I guess. Does it rattle at all with the brace contacting the skid plate?

if you look at the first pic, you can see that the bar and the plate are bolted together. the bar is not just resting on the plate.
