I'm out workin on my car in my driveway and I hear some slow weird noise. I look up and it's a dude in one of those running jacket things, that weird material, I dunno what it's called, but it makes a distinctive noise. Black jacket and black pants. He keeps walking so I don't think much of it. About 15-20 minutes later I hear the noise again and the dude is coming back down the street and goes past my house. Another 20-ish minutes pass by and the guy walks by again. This time he says "little cold out tonight, eh? maybe you should go inside"

I'm like "nah, it's pretty nice out" (I'm in a t-shirt and shorts, it's fuckin perfect out).

Then he asks "is this a pretty quiet neighborhood? like is there a lot of old people living here?"

I'm like "it's pretty quiet, yeah, but a lot of houses have cameras on em and everyone looks out for each other."

He goes "oh...hmmm" and keeps walking up the street.

Haven't seen him since, but wtf kind of question is that? Would you guys be sketched out right now, cuz I am. I'm planning on stayin up a little late just to make sure the dude doesn't come back and try to break into any cars or anything. Best part is, my car doesn't lock. FML. :(

Yeah, that seems to be a pretty strange conversation.

I'd report him.

The local PD will probably do extra patrols in your neighborhood and if they spot him, they'll run him for warrants and at the least, they'll have his information and know who to look for if something does happen.

Do you have any used paper silhouette targets that you brought home from the pistol range, preferably ones with tight groupings?

If so, leave one in your car in plain view.

No joke, there's like 9 cops that live in my 800 elevation, gated neighborhood.

It's odd he asked about the neighborhood and you didn't recognize him. Anything obscuring his face would be a dead give away, but in general if he showed his face, he's probably a "high functioning" tweaker.
