    hey gang, i have a e30 m42 318is , i deleted my ac. would anyone know if the ac bracket is ok to remove, it looks like two bolts on the bracket are tied into the lower engine.

    I did the same for the bracket on my m20.

      You can take it off. Might be a good idea to put the bolts back into the engine so you don't have open holes, but that is not totally necessary.

        i think i figured it out. there two bolts on ac bracket that are required for holding lower timing gaskets together. 1991 e30 318is im sure you can remove bracket and get smaller bolts to remedy problem. note: the e30 318is ac bracket is different than many other e30 brackets.
