    plastic bumper conversion

    alright guys, just got the rear valence welded onto my car. when i ultimately run the plastic bumpers, what have you guys done to cover the holes from the bumper shrouds? bondo? silicon? rubber caps?

      Have you seen Janderson's thread? He put plastics and the metal rear valance on his early model.

          ironically i commented on his restore thread on the very same thing -- i had suggested body filler, but i BELIEVE he was going with some rubber stoppers (never heard how he did it on the thread though)

            Seam sealer and a little paint to make it less noticeable.

            I have a full plastic conversion with sliders and shocks if you are interested...

                I bought some rubber plugs at Lowe's, siliconed over them, they sprayed undercoating over the entire rear end below the body line.

                  I used 3-M weatherstrip adhesive. Works great.

                  1991 325ic and 1991 318is
