    F'in rust

    The whole reason I bought this shell was because it was rust free. I remember now that I wasn't the person who put the carpet in, so that's why I never saw this little bugger.

    It was cleverly hidden under the exhaust heat shield. Just when I was making awesome progress I found this.

    Wish I took pictures first, but in my anger the die grinders came out and opened up the rust and grinded. Looks like it was spreading under the rubberized undercoating.

    Will weld in a patch tomorrow. Just an annoying sidetrack. Here's also a pic of what I did get done today, the front brakes:

    I feel your pain. I bought this current shell thinking it was rust free, but had a little surprise when I took off the sun roof wind deflector.

      Rust can be a bitch, but at least you found it and it seems to be not a big deal overall. Brakes look good though, I have used those ATE rotors once before and I liked them a lot.
