Doesn't really matter as long as it's in front of the radiator.

On early model cars (84-85) it mounts in the Driver's Side Brake-duct. Later than '85 I can't remember...

Thanks guys, that would explain why there is a small snout on top of my driver side air duct, and why it hangs down in that area. Derrrrrr..
