    Need help with this ratio

    If I'm not mistaken my father said that there is a special ratio to figure out the final compression after either boring stroking or whatever mostly looking to figure out what the final compression ratio might be of the turbo m30b35 build I am working on not sure how low to drop it in the first place, looking for something that I can still run 93 octane on

      I'll at least give you a bump. No idea, and I bet a lot of people don't know so that's why you haven't gotten answers.

      Someone should know though. I know I've seen it discussed in the motor swaps section.

        Here is a calculator you can plug your numbers into:



        as far as what you can run for compression depends on may variables and what you expect to run for boost and what you are running for management.

        In general you should be able to run about 8.5 to 9 with a stockish cam and up to 10 psi without much issue.

          would be thinking mostly stock head with cam and around 20 psi still havent decided on the turbo but thanks for the link ill have to give it a try
