so i got a deal on an m42 from a 93 e36 for my 91 318is...i did some research and i know ill need the manifold from mine and oil pan...
my question is would i need the ecu and the harness????
also would my tranny on my m42 work on the 93 e36 engine??
anything else i would need for this swap????

you need to swap over the complete front end of the motor if I remember correctly. its a good excuse to redo all of the gaskets on the front too.
