My car was broken into last night *sigh*

I need your guys help please. My E30 was broken into last night, and all of my stereo equipment was stolen along with a few E30 only parts.

My guess is that the thief is an owner himself since among my stereo, he helped himself to a turn signal lense, side marker, front ash tray, sun visor, and a rear tail-light.

If you guys in So. Cal know / hear anything about an E30 owner getting a new stereo, please let me know.

Here are the stereo components that were stolen:

    Alpine V12 Amp
    Profile California 600MSX amp
MB Quart component 5.25 w/ crossovers
    MB Quart 6x9's
    Cerwin Vega 12" HED subwoofer
    Sony X-Plod head unit

    Pictures of above items :

Please let me know if you have any information, thanks guys, hope you all had a better Friday than I did.

God damn, been seeing topics like this way too often...it sucks to think E30 owners ripping off other E30 owners. Sorry to hear that John, can you get your insurance to cover at (least) some of what was stolen? Did you have an alarm or anything that would slow him down?

Sorry to ask this after it being stolen, how was your Profile Amp? I was considering one.

Well i bet none of you have ever had your windscreeen stolen. I think it was god punishing me though for cheating in strip poker and getting girls to do very naughty things. But cops says it does happen very rarely, more so to steal the stuff inside and just a way to try and get around the alarm. But my alarm saves all my sound, and the cops even found my windscreen 2 days later (cracked in the corner). Nearly froze driving home on the freeway. Anyways it makes a good story.

This is good reason for scribing your stuff. Agree with Jordan. I need to start making Sure my stuff is safe while on road. I leave wifey's cabrio just sitting around with factory system and hotel security cameras. I should drive it to her and put it in garage.

Not to be a make things worse.... but that halfass just thrown in there "install" likely aided them greaty in a hasty removal of your shit.

Sucks tho.. time to look into getting an alarm.

The only thing "halfass" about my install was my subwoofer box, you expected a fiberglass enclosure attached in the trunk?

All my speakers were in factory locations with factory mounting hardware, it was far from halfass. I find it redundant that a "halfass" install would aid any theif, if they want it bad enough, they'll take any measure to steal it.

Eightyfour - The amp was powering my sub and it was great. I never had any problems with it once I adjusted the gains.

Thanks a lot man, I won't be getting anything new for a while. I don't have time right now for a job, especially when I'm trying to get an internship.

I actually have the other 12" Cerwin Vega in my garage, I just need a box. I think this time, I'll up upgrade to an XM-ready head unit, or a nav screen.
