I will be doing a X-country road trip in June looking for..

places to stay and things to do. Me and a USAF friend with the 83 Audi UrQ. He is moving to Hawaii with his new wife. I get the pleasure of driving the 240 hp lead sled with mega tall 5th gear and a 26 gallon fuel tank, makes for long legs with 1.3bar.

Will be driving from Boston To LA. not sure if we want to do the Northern route or Southern route.

    Suggestions....

North Georgia makes for some senic driving as well as some fun. I'm sure the GA E30 crowd would come and meet you as well. ;)

If you're not feeling hanging all the way down here, at least visit some of the Blue Ridge mountians further north.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

I'd say don't go the southern route...I-10 through Texas is booooring, and the turnpikes in Kansas are nice :)

Not sure he would want to drive that far of a southern route as the car has no AC.

You could then take I-5 South through Sacramento on your way to LA :D

I would love to do the Devil's Tail but will probably be driving via Ohio. So a stop off at Tire rack and maybe Wright-Patterson AFB to see the USAF museam. They have a Train Car that I haul from France to there and would like to see the POW exhibt they have.

I will post the route but I want to do stuff on the way. We plan on doing it in 4-5 days but not mega hours behind the wheel.

Thank Goodness he has nice Recaro's in it.

The car we will be driving. http://www.r3vlimited.com/phpBB2/vie...light=audi+urq

The Mars Red or Henna if it was a BMW.

I am about an hour north of Wright Patt. If you need a place to stay for the night. Wright Patt is right next to my Air National Guard Base, which is 45 minutes away.

Have you been to the Museam? I seem to bring a ton of stuff there but never have time to get in it as our don't seem to jive.

Thanks for the offer, will keep it under thought.
